S + asked/wanted to know/wondered + O + what/where/when/how/who/why + the clause (lùi thì, và bỏ trợ động từ ngoại trừ thì hoàn thành)

Ví dụ

Ex: “Where do you want to go, Helen?”, her sister asked.

• Helen’s sister asked her where she wanted to go.

Thực hành:

1. He asked me: ‘Why are you here?’
2. They asked: ‘What are you doing?’
3. ‘How long have you been here?’ She asked me.
